Back with our first event of the New Year, MESSAGES brings you a classic line up of
artists from around the globe. Now with two rooms at our new home of East Village,
we are able to showcase both the Soulful sounds of Reel People Music and the deep
house of Papa Records.

REEL PEOPLE MUSIC ROOM

DJ SPINNA needs no introduction at all. One of the innovators of the Dance and Hip-
Hop movement’s of the last 15 years, he is set to dazzle MESSAGES with his unique
journey of twists and treats and all that is soulful.

OLI LAZARUS is next up and will be celebrating the release of his REEL PEOPLE’s new
album ‘GOLDEN LADY’.

MATTHEW BANDY returns to MESSAGES with his quality blend of Soul, Boogie and
House. Look out for his superb new releases on Foliage Records.

AKI BERGEN is one of the most exciting producer/DJ’s to come out of Europe in a long
time. His sounds has caught the attention of many big labels and DJ’s and we are
extremely delighted to have him @ MESSAGES for this exclusive London set.

THE LAYABOUTS are riding high after a great 2010 and have started 2011 with a some
quality remixes for REEL PEOPLE & TONI BRAXTON. Look out for some hot new
productions very soon!!

ZAKI is the man behind London’s leading Deep House party, MUAK and will bringing
his deep & tribal sounds to the MESSAGES floor.

PAPA RECORDS & REEL PEOPLE MUSIC are proud to present MESSAGES for 2010.

Back with a bang, MESSAGES brings you a stellar line up of artists from around the globe.

REEL PEOPLE return to London with their heavyweight Soundsystem for the first time in 2 years. With new album ‘GOLDEN LADY’ due for release in January 2011, MESSAGES marks a great upfront opportunity to hear some of the songs from their new long player.

ANDRE LODEMANN is possibly one of the hottest men in house right now. Hailing from Berlin, Germany he has delivered deep house gold over and over again, remixing classics for labels such as PEPPERMINT JAM, Z RECORDS & of course his recent mix of ALISON DAVID – ‘DREAMS’ on PAPA. This is an exclusive DJ set not to be missed.

THE LAYABOUTS are celebrating the launch of their new album ‘DEEP IN EN5’. The album is a collection of all there incredible remixes over the last few years. Supporting the album is brand new single ‘PERFECTLY’ featuring the stunning vocals of London’s newest soulful phenomenon SHEA SOUL. SHEA will be exclusively performing alongside REEL PEOPLE MUSIC artist RENN showcasing his afro dance track ‘NIGHTS IN AFRICA’.

MATTHEW BANDY is the U.S. now London based Producer/DJ who has had an incredible year. With a quality release and DJ schedule Matthew has gained much attention world wide over the past 10 years. We are proud to welcome him to our family with his forthcoming EP on PAPA out in December. Be sure to keep an ear out for him in 2011 as he show’s no signs of slowing down and has some very special projects in the pipeline.
London’s LEENA MASI provides the warm up set for the night. Expect an eclectic mix of soulful and electronic dance from musical era’s past and present.
